SEA are one of the few manufacturers to offer a double safety system on all of their sliding gate motors. High levels of safety are provided on all operators with both mechanical slip clutch systems and electronic rotation sensors, providing constant levels of personal safety even on the largest of gates. Designed to comply with EN12453 safety levels.

SEA sliding gate operators are compact, quiet and smooth in operation because the gear boxes are all submersed in an oil bath for maximum lubrication. The Lepus models also use the oil as a coolant for the motor, allowing intensive operation when required.

The majority of gates are driven open and closed by use of a 16 toothed gear connected to the motor, with a toothed rack attached to the gate. The electric motor turns the gear using a worm drive system, generating lots of power for even the heaviest of gates and holding the gates in the closed position.

The gate's open and closed positions are set by a non-contact metal detector, preventing the wear and tear often associated with moveable switches. Selectable soft start and soft stop features provide a smooth and extremely hard wearing gate operating system.

The ideal motor for a domestic automatic sliding gates, the motor can handle gates up to 600 kg and is designed to open a 6m gate up to 25 times per hour.

Our double safety system means that SEA gates are extremely safe, stopping and reversing when they encounter any obstruction.

The Saturn can be controlled by any combination of hand held radio transmitters, key-switches, push buttons or intercoms etc. It also has inputs for hold open time-clocks, photocells, stop buttons and safety edge devices. A choice of operating logics can be selected on the integral control unit.

In case of a power cut, an easy to use key release mechanism allows the gate to be put into manual operation until the power is restored.

Standard operator safety is fitted with mechanical and electronic rotation sensing, to provide a double system of anti-crush safety. Non-contact and contact safety edge systems can be added to ensure the highest levels of safety.

The Lepus 600 is a heavy duty motor that is designed for industrial operation and capable of opening and closing a 600 kg, 11 m gate up to 75% intensive usage.

This operator has an in-built in Gate 1 control panel capable of accepting all combinations of opening and safety signals, providing convenience and high security as required.

The operator has a secure, key lockable manual release mechanism internally. Where the sliding gate is the only access to the site, we can also provide an external release system.

A slip clutch, force regulating safety system is fitted between motor and the gear box, allowing for precise regulation of the motor forces. A rotation sensor is then fitted to measure the gate movement, stopping the gate immediately on sensing a slow down in motor speed.

A fully adjustable base plate, in-built control panel and solid aluminium gear box housing provide this operator with the flexibility and strength needed for large industrial gates.

The largest of the single phase Lepus operators is designed for heavy industrial operation capable of opening and closing an 1600 kg, 11m gate up to 30 times per hour.

The motor has all the features of the Lepus 600, with increased motor strength and higher resistance settings for the slip clutch mechanism.
